Collection: Harvia Spirit Sauna Heaters

The Harvia Spirit stands out with innovative engineering that redefines the typical electric sauna heater design. At the heart of this wall-mounted Harvia sauna heater lies a sophisticated ventilation system featuring unique air ducts that ensure even heat distribution throughout your sauna while protecting wall structures from excessive heat exposure.

The generous stone compartment accommodates approximately 110 lb of rounded Harvia R-991 olivine diabase stones on the North American 240V models, helping create a large heated stone surface for soft, satisfying löyly when water is applied properly.

Harvia also equips the Spirit with integrated safety functions. On current North American models, the safety system is designed to prevent startup when an object is detected on top of the heater, and additional temperature monitoring helps protect against overheating. Always install and operate the heater according to the exact model manual and local electrical code.

The curved design is both visually appealing and functionally engineered to maximize heat circulation while keeping the heater compact and wall mounted.

The Harvia Spirit SP60E brings 6 kW of heating power to compact and mid-size residential sauna installations. The North American 240V model sold on SaunaHeaters.com is rated for 177 to 294 adjusted cubic feet.

Despite its compact power rating, the SP60E offers the full range of Harvia Spirit features, including the distinctive curved design, generous stone capacity, and built-in safety functions. Harvia describes the Spirit as a fast-heating wall-mounted heater, while its ventilation channels are designed to promote even heat distribution.

The Harvia Spirit SP60E is an ideal choice for residential saunas where space is limited, delivering an authentic Finnish sauna experience in a compact, space-conscious design.

The Harvia Spirit SP90E delivers 9 kW of heating power and is the largest North American 240V model in this collection. On SaunaHeaters.com, it is rated for 177 to 494 adjusted cubic feet, making it a strong option for larger home saunas that remain within the manufacturer’s specified range.

The SP90E keeps the same 15 in. wide by 13.1 in. deep by 29.5 in. high wall-mounted footprint used across the North American Spirit line while providing the highest output of the three models. It also requires approximately 110 lb of rounded sauna stones and a separate compatible Harvia control system.

For high-use commercial facilities, do not assume the Spirit SP90E is the correct choice solely because it is 9 kW. Commercial installations should be evaluated against Harvia’s intended-use recommendations, duty requirements, voltage and phase specifications, sauna room volume, and applicable local codes.

1. Start with the sauna’s interior cubic footage: length × width × average height.
2. Adjust upward for glass doors or walls, masonry, tile, and other uninsulated surfaces.
3. Consider cold-climate or outdoor exposure, especially for backyard saunas.
4. Match the adjusted room volume to the appropriate Spirit model range rather than relying solely on the room’s nominal dimensions.
5. Confirm electrical service, required clearances, controls, and stone quantity before purchase.
